Miembros de la Unidad Departamental de Prevención N.º 13 (UDEP-13) realizaron el traslado del féretro desde la casa de habitación del agente hasta la Iglesia de la comunidad de Nueva Esperanza, donde se llevó a cabo una ceremonia religiosa en honor a su memoria, antes de darle cristiana sepultura.

Durante el recorrido, compañeros de armas acompañaron el cortejo fúnebre como muestra de respeto, solidaridad y reconocimiento a la labor desempeñada por el uniformado, quien sirvió con compromiso y vocación al pueblo hondureño. Familiares y allegados destacaron su entrega al trabajo, su amor por la familia y su firme compromiso con la seguridad ciudadana.

El agente José Henry Pérez Saldívar perdió la vida junto a otros tres compañeros días atrás, a consecuencia de un siniestro vial ocurrido en el departamento de Lempira, hecho que enluta a la institución policial y a varias familias hondureñas.

Autoridades policiales expresaron sus condolencias a los familiares de las víctimas y reiteraron el acompañamiento institucional en estos momentos de duelo, resaltando el sacrificio de los agentes que diariamente exponen su vida en el cumplimiento del deber.

La comunidad de La Campa se unió en oración para pedir fortaleza para los seres queridos del agente caído y para honrar la memoria de quienes perdieron la vida en este trágico suceso.
