En este sentido, los mercados meta son Tegucigalpa y San Pedro Sula, desde donde se espera la movilización de al menos 400,000 turistas, aunque la cifra podría ser superior.

La posible designación se da en un contexto donde la seguridad nacional continúa siendo uno de los temas prioritarios en la agenda del Congreso, debido a los retos relacionados con la criminalidad, la prevención del delito y el fortalecimiento institucional de los cuerpos de seguridad del Estado.

Hasta el momento, no existe un anuncio oficial por parte del Congreso Nacional, por lo que se espera que en los próximos días las autoridades legislativas confirmen o desmientan esta información y detallen los alcances de la eventual conformación de la Comisión de Seguridad.

La presidencia de esta comisión es clave, ya que desde ella se discuten y dictaminan iniciativas de ley, reformas y políticas públicas que impactan directamente en la seguridad del país y en la coordinación con otras instituciones del Estado.
